We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team, Mark Paklepa, as our Head Tennis Professional. Mark brings an impressive wealth of expertise and certifications to our Club, holding both Coach 3 and Club Pro 2 certifications with the Tennis Professionals Association of Canada. In addition, he is a certified Pickleball Professional recognized by the U.S. Professional Pickleball Registry.
Mark's extensive coaching background spans almost three decades in private club settings. His coaching journey has touched every aspect of the tennis spectrum, from nurturing tiny tot juniors to honing the skills of elite senior national champions. Mark's versatility is evident in his ability to connect with players at all levels, from beginners taking their first swing to seasoned club champions looking to elevate their game.
Prior to joining our Club, Mark contributed his expertise to prestigious institutions such as the Toronto Lawn and Queen's Club. Most recently, he served as the Director of Tennis at Lambton Golf & Country Club, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the tennis experience for members.
Beyond his passion for coaching, Mark is an avid sports enthusiast. When he's not on the tennis court, you can find him enjoying a round of golf, hitting the ice for a game of hockey, or passionately cheering for his favorite sports teams.
We are confident that Mark's wealth of experience, coupled with his genuine love for the game and infectious enthusiasm, will contribute immensely to the growth and enjoyment of tennis at The Thornhill Club.
